The famous quote used to summarize Voltaire's thought, "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it", is the essence of what we call Freedom of Speech. The enemies of this freedom have always been numerous and powerful and it's up to us to defend this freedom against its enemies, the old and the new ones.

note: the moon's favors has gone from a 5 to a 0 PageRank since being highjacked, spammed, and (after 6 months) restored here. It's now unlisted on Google's Blogsearch, as well as in their general search. On Google, you can only get listings for the moon's favors archives, which I can longer even get into on Blogger. Yes, I've written Blogger which is, after all, Google, but no word back. (Update: Tech wrote back. Says atom feed works, no problems here. Move along. Sigh.)
Hijacked!Hello, Google? Et tu. I ever sang your praises.
Sigh.
Meanwhile, the yahoo toolbar is here.

"I am guarding my light and my treasure,
convinced that nobody would gain and I
myself would be badly, even hopelessly
injured, if I should lose it. It is the most
precious not only to me, but above all to
the darkness of the creator, who needs man
to illuminate his creation." ~
