The very real possibility of Bush starting the big war is there. The
Hagee folk are still in power, tho to a lesser degree. Blackwater
Security is still at work, still led by a Fundamentalist. People
don't get that. Moyers has stood on his head telling them, and the
right just organizes a smear campaign against Moyers. (nice collection
re Rapture: http://www.americanreview.us/christianzion.htm ) But we
have seen progress -- that is, most of us know what's up. The kids
know. Rapture? XtianZionism? Who would hear it a few years back?

And Obama. He taught courses in constitutional law at the University
of Chicago. He is exactly who we need: in this he is a pragmatist. He
signs on to serve, protect, defend the Constitution. This isn't
idealism; this is job description!

Hillary has gotten the attention of even the oblivious. The number of
people signed up to vote in these past couple months is what can turn
this tide. Did she do on purpose? Sacrifice herself? If there's
something to forgive, it's done. We're all arm in arm. Not perfect,
but arm in arm.

And tomorrow, 40 years since our beloved Bobby was lost, 43 years
since Jung made his phase change, 22 years since my father left his
ravaged body, and 53 years since D day. Our heroes are with us. Hang
on.
